Boasting 3 epic, high-tech escape rooms to challenge minds of all ages including the Atlantis, Ancient Temple and Spaceship rooms, Escape Mate promises to be the most epic and memorable party in the galaxy.
Our Escape Rooms offer non-linear, engaging puzzles to keep everyone entertained and challenged for the duration of your stay. Suitable for all generations with kids from 8 years of age welcome.
All bookings are private appointments and will only include you and your group during your experience. All our rooms are hosted by our excellent team so everyone in your group can enjoy the challenge.

What to expect
Teams will receive our renowned Escape Mate hospitality, with a warm welcome and snacks at the ready. All bookings come with a selection of snacks and refreshments for the team to enjoy prior to their escape room experience.
Once you are to go our Games Master host will begin your exciting mission briefing to ensure that everyone is clued up and ready to save the world. We will assign some roles to the team to help with the mission before heading into your investigation zone.
Once underway, you and your team will have 60 minutes to navigate your way through all of the puzzles inside, interacting with awesome and unique contraptions and devices in order to ultimately save the world!
Once you have escaped, you and your team will have an opportunity to take a team photo in front of one of our amazing backdrops to keep the memory of your world saving mission!
All bookings take approximately 90 minutes to complete from start to finish, including your briefing and team photos.
Who can play?
Our rooms are suitable for all ages from 8 years and up. All of our puzzles and challenges can be solved using logic, deduction and the clues available in the room, meaning no prior knowledge is necessary before entering. All of our rooms are monitored by your games master who is available for clues and will keep the team on track throughout your mission.
Our games are suitable for all ages, demographics and team types.*
* Guests requiring wheelchair access are welcome to book our Atlantis room, situated in 195 Victoria St venue.
Catering Options
All teams will be provided with snacks and refreshments on arrival at both offices.
For birthday teams wishing for more space to have cake food for their party, our Johnston Street office does have a meeting room that can cater for up to 20 guests at a time. This can be hired as an add-on extra at a rate of $50 per hour.
Please be aware that this MUST be booked in advance and is strictly subject to availability. This room can tend to be in high demand on Saturday’s and Sunday’s as it also doubles as our waiting area during busy periods.

Book the Spaceship + Temple and play simultaneously, competing for the best time. Great option for up to 22 players. Alternatively, book several consecutive time slots for any of our games.
Meeting room available at Johnston St at no charge for an hour.
Option 2. | $45/person | 2.5 hours
Book the Spaceship + Spy Game or also the Temple.
We split the group in half and form 2 teams. While half the group is playing The Spaceship and/or Temple, the other half will be playing the Spy Game in our meeting room.
Once the teams finish with their activities, they will swap over so each team will play both activities.
For teams of 18 or under, we can start with the Spy Game with the whole group participating, then split the team across the Spaceship and Temple Escape Rooms.

SPY GAME

The Spy game is an add-on option for larger teams and is a series of fun, team building activities all centred around what type of secret agent your group would make at an intelligence agency. Facilitated by our Game Masters, The Spy Game takes place in our meeting room area and comes with a fun variety of challenges and tea, coffee and snacks as part of the costing.
We can start with the Spy Games (for teams of 16 or under) or split the group into 2 teams and Spy Game is being played as a simultaneous activity to the escape rooms. We will have half of the team playing Spy Game in our meeting room, while the other half is playing in the escape rooms. Once they have completed their hour long activities, the teams swap over and proceed to another game.
Along with having to interact and co-operate with your team members, facilitated by your games master, the Spy Game option gives everyone an opportunity to have a good laugh and some friendly competition within your group.
