Expect many secret compartments, a lot of tactile, mechanical and electronic puzzles, gorgeous props and surprising outcomes.

The solutions to obstacles will require a mixture of approaches, some will test your observation skills or your attention to detail, some will need your critical thinking and the ability to make abstract associations. There will be light puzzles and sensors, visual and sound clues, decoding of an ancient languages and interacting with all sorts of switches, buttons and levers – this game caters for all tastes and mindsets.

Be prepared for contraptions that need your physical input, like pushing, pulling, climbing, moving, whilst others can be solved by thinking outside the box.

Atlantis offers a fun puzzle for everyone, regardless of age, gender or mindset.

Just like all our games, Atlantis is also designed with a nonlinear structure which will encourage teamwork and will keep all players busy at all times. There will always be things to do and mysteries to solve to everyone; the most successful strategy is to work in several areas of the rooms at once, then come together, share your findings and move on from there.

We need you to embark on this vessel and find the gates of Atlantis!

According to the legend, Atlantis was a paradise for a god-like human race, it built upon 7 islands by Poseidon himself who blessed his children, the Atlanteans with eternal life and wisdom.They were gifted with the ‘Mighty Crystal’ that kept all elements in balance and granted superhuman powers, advanced technology and knowledge of all things.

However, a few thousand years ago this great civilization was destroyed in one day and night and sank beneath the ocean.

We believe that the shipwreck hides the secrets of the ‘Mighty Crystal’ and the destruction of Atlantis.

You and your team of fellow adventures will need to work together to find the stolen power source of Atlantis. Keep your eyes peeled for clues and work with haste. Only a few are worthy of witnessing the wonders that lie beneath the surface and you only have one hour!

By making a booking with us you are agreeing to the following Terms and Conditions:

• All bookings require either full payment or a deposit in advance
• All bookings subject to availability
• Payments can be made via Credit/Debit card, Eftpos, Cash or bank transfer

• Full payment for all bookings must be made at least 48 hours prior to your appointment
• All details of your visit (final group numbers, arrival date/time, escape room activity etc.) must be finalised at least 48 hours prior to your appointment*
• You may amend the details of your visit any time prior to the 48 hours deadline, however all changes are made subject to availability*
• Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to your appointment, if we do not receive this notice then we regret that we cannot issue any refunds and a cancellation fee may be required*
• Children under the age of 8 are not allowed to enter either of our escape rooms without accompanying adult
• We operate a ‘Break it/Buy it’ policy at Escape Mate, you are liable to reimburse us for any repairs or replacements that are required as a result of your actions inside either of our escape rooms
• No photography/video is allowed inside of either of our escape rooms.
• Please make sure that all your team members are feeling comfortable with the idea of being locked in. The Spaceship room is a 65 square meter area with a few items of furniture, proper lighting, and high ceilings. The main door can be opened any given time and players can be let out within seconds. We also have an emergency exit button installed in our rooms, team members can easily come out any given time without interrupting the game
• Intoxicated persons will not be allowed to enter either of our escape rooms
• Shoes MUST be worn at all times in the Escape Room area. Closed toed shoes are preferable however jandals/flip-flops are also acceptable.
• Management reserve the right to refuse entry to any guests or change bookings where necessary
• If you arrive on the day of your booking with fewer team members than originally stated and we did not receive this notice then we do still need to charge for the stated amount on the booking. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Payments, modifications and cancellations

• Please choose your appointment carefully. We are very flexible with times and appointments; do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or need further assistance or in case of changes to be made in regards to your appointment.
• Payments can be made by bank transfers, credit cards (except AMEX), and cash. Cards and cash are also accepted onsite. Please inform us if you require an invoice of your event, and your preferred payment methods.
• Payments have to be made at least 48 hours prior to the game.
• You can modify your appointment any time, and we encourage you to keep us updated. In case the number of players, time, or date of your booking need to be changed or cancelled, please inform us asap. If your booking has to be cancelled, we will refund the total amount.
• We will always try our best to accommodate your team, unless the modification or cancellation was made in the 48 hours prior to the game.
• If the time or date of the booking has to be modified in the last 48 hours, we will try our best to find a suitable appointment, but we can’t guarantee availability.
• If the cancellation was made in the last 48 hours prior to the game, unfortunately we can’t refund payments.
• Unpaid invoices may be followed up by third party debt collecting agencies.

What is an Escape Room?
A themed room loaded with all sorts of puzzles, locks and codes. Your team is given a mission objective and must work together inside the room in order to work its way through all of the obstacles, achieve your mission objective and escape from the room within a 60 minute time frame. Enter a real 1930’s bank vault, for the ‘Spaceship’

How can I purchase a Gift Card?
By pressing the ‘Book Now’ tab on our home page you should see an option to ‘Purchase a Gift Card’. Simply click the link and follow the instructions given.
Alternatively you can organise a Gift Card purchase by calling 02102254443 and speaking to one of our Game Masters. Please have a credit/debit card on hand in order to make payment for your voucher.
You can select to have the gift card emailed directly to your intended recipient if you wish, or you can have it emailed to yourself and print it out at home.

How long does the activity last?
It takes up to 90 minutes to complete an activity, this includes your mission briefing beforehand, 60 minutes of allocated game time in the room itself as well as team photos afterwards.

Do you mix teams in one room?
Nope. We won’t lock you in with a bunch of strangers. Once you book the room, it is only yours!

Can Escape Mate cater for custom events and larger group bookings?
At Escape Mate we are happy to cater to larger groups and custom events and ask you to contact us via the details on the contact page.

What kind of events might be suitable for Escape Mate?
We are ideal for team building activities, birthday parties, kids’ parties, hens/stags nights, end of year staff functions or just for friends and family to enjoy a different experience.

What is the absolute minimum amount of players required to partake in your escape rooms?
The Spaceship requires a minimum of 6 people to book.
Our Ancient Temple room requires a minimum of 2 people to book.

Is there a minimum age for participants?
We regret that children under the age of 8 cannot be allowed to enter either of our escape rooms as they both feature intricate details and puzzles that are not suitable for young children.
Although we monitor all games, we would advise that children between the ages of 8-10 be accompanied by an adult as some of the obstacles may be slightly out of reach for smaller children.

When is Escape Mate available for bookings?
We are open 7 days a week, from 8.30 am to 10.00 pm on most days. Please view all of our availability on the “Book now” tab found on the home page. Alternatively give us a call on 02102254443.

How can players pay at Escape Mate?
While we prefer to accept online payments, we can also cater to cash, credit card and EFTPOS onsite.

Payments, modifications and cancellation
Please book mindfully, as availability is often competitive. We will do our best to modify your appointment, otherwise we will refund the total payment as long as this is arranged at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.
Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled arrival otherwise we regret that we cannot issue refunds.
If you wish to increase the number of players we can modify your booking anytime (as long as the number of players does not exceed the room’s capacity)
If you need to decrease the total number of players we will require at least 48 hours notice, if we do not receive this notice then you will be charged for the original amount stated on your booking.
All appointments booked require 50% payment in advance, unless arranged otherwise – with management’s approval.
In case of any damage caused to our equipment, the player will be charged for repairs/replacement.

How can I claim my gift card voucher?

Are the premises wheelchair accessible?
Regrettably no. We are situated in the basement of an old building from the 1930’s, as a result we regret that we are not wheelchair accessible. The only means of getting down to our rooms is via a short staircase. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause

Is Escape Mate suitable if I have claustrophobia?
This depends on how severely you suffer from claustrophobia. We have had many people with claustrophobia visit us over the years and have not had any issues so far. Both of our rooms are equipped with an Emergency Exit button that can be used at any time without disrupting the game so if anyone is feeling uncomfortable they can step outside at any time and take a break.

Our largest room The Spaceship is a 55 square meter space with a few items of furniture, proper lighting, and high ceilings. The door can be opened at any given time, and players can be let out within seconds.

If anyone is still uncomfortable with the idea of an escape room they are more than welcome to come and visit us and see the space before their appointment. We are happy to show people around and answer any questions you may have to put your mind at ease. Do the rooms require physical activity?
Our Escape rooms do not require any physical activity, no crawling, climbing, or anything of the sorts is required!

Do I need to bring anything with me?
Just yourself! You are welcome to bring any of your belongings with you into the escape rooms, or we have a safe place provided to store things you wont need to take in with you. We just ask not to take any photos or videos when you are in the Escape rooms for copyright purposes.
