We were devastated to hear about the tragedy in a Poland escape room. Our condolences for the families and friends of the girls that were involved in the accident.
We also would like to ensure everyone, that in our escape rooms we put a lot of focus into safety and our game masters are highly trained to handle all sorts of hazardous circumstances.
Our electronics are safely built, running on low voltage so they cannot cause fire. The rooms are equipped with regularly monitored and maintained smoke detectors and sprinkler systems. We also do have emergency exit buttons inside of our rooms, that can open the door from the inside at any given moment. The lock mechanisms inside of the rooms are designed so players cannot lock themselves in, once they opened, they stay open. The game masters are also able to open each of these doors from the outside and they constantly and carefully monitoring the games to ensure customer safety. They would notice everything that is out of ordinary and would act immediately if they saw a hazardous situation or activity.
Our games are perfectly safe and we hope that after this tragic accident all other escape rooms in the world will consider strict health and safety policies and safety precautions.
